Violinist and composer, devoted to the search for the expressive sound.

Iason strives for being performer, creator, and teacher — an enduring ideal of music as both craft and insight.

Academic Path

Iason first took up the violin in Greece, before continuing his studies at Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam and later at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg.

Composing since his teenage years, he had the good fortune to study composition and harmony with Spiros Mazis, who introduced him to the craft and discipline behind musical invention.

Encounters with artists such as Gordan Nikolić, Sergey Kravtchenko, Anita Miterer, Christos Kanettis, Jean-Bernard Pommier, Grigory Zhislin, and Igor and Vesna Gruppman have further shaped his musical outlook and refined his sense of sound and expression.
